I love the body style, I was making a jab at the white. It's not the same with Darren gone. He would have jabbed back for sure. Gerry will likely have some issue with the fleet comment for sure. When the sneak peaks first came out, I HATED it. I think it's a pretty good looking truck now

Tim, I am watching the 2017 section of the SD forums and keeping in touch with my dealer. It seems the guys online always have more/better info that my dealer. I do know for sure that tomorrow is the day the order banks open so the order guides have to be available then. You can't order anything if you don't know what's available...

Andre, agreed as usual. A van color on a SD doesn't do it justice but that shot has me longing for my next truck. As Tim pointed out, that's an excellent angle for a marketing photo... even if it is white.

I agree with you guys that white trucks don't have anything on glorious red pickups.

Carl, on the TH vs. no TH question/ issue...................This thing might be the best of both worlds. The pin weight is pushing it for SRW though at 3250 dry. If I wasn't so cheap and my kayaks would fit...................Love the idea though!

Rest of the 17 is growing on me..................BUT those dually fenders are still HIDEOUS, IMO!

I believe GCVWR is the least important of the weights.....as long as you have enough torque to start and brakes to stop. I believe alxe weight is what is important.

In a toy hauler how much can you impact pin weight with garage weight....I guessing it's quite a bit?

GCWR is made up of fairy dust and unicorns. No one can say what it's based on so I could care less about it.

The garage weight thing doesn't impact pin as much as you'd think. Adding 1500# to mine only changed my pin weight a touch less than 200#. I guess that's not a small number but it's not what most folks would assume is proportional.

Thanks for the link Scott. I like the front living...all that I have looked at have higher pin weights. We won't need a large garage and if we could find one with the layout of the 380 with a sliding garage wall that would allow us to control the garage/living space and put in a sofa along the garage wall...all that didn't kill us on weight....I think we will have the perfect home for the next two years.

I actually, incorrectly, though maybe the pin weight would go down, sort of like a seesaw does, with the triple axle acting as a balance point and shifting the load weight backwards. Guess this shows I don't understand Physics......and I've never weighted a load...

No, you're right Carl. The pin weight does go down. When I mentioned the difference pin, meant a reduction and not an increase.

Cool. I was beginning to question myself seriously. The triple axle really must distribute the weight.

Carl, if I may make a suggestion... I would go with a hitch with a little more capacity than the 18k Reese if your looking at the triple axle toyhaulers. I really like my B&W RVK3300 hitch. I believe it has a 21k capacity and works nicely with the Ford prep package. If you watch online, you can usually find a good deal. I found mine last spring for $745 w/free ship, much cheaper than getting the Reese from Ford. Just a thought....

It's 20k capacity Tony but likely underrated and a perfect match for our setups. Stan just sold his 18k Reese Elite in favor of this exact hitch.
