Today is the day........
It helped that ours came with the rail the fabric slides in already attached over each slide. We got it down to about 15 minutes each by the time we were finished. Now my parents are ordering some for their new Cougar...sounds like an install either this week or after we return from our South Dakota trip (we leave 5/30 for 12 days).
Tom, I forgot to mention... on the RV cell boosters. I've had OK results with them. Most times the boost is so weak, what I've done is to lean my phone right on the inside antenna. Then I can hotspot off the phone. This has worked to get me good data coverage in areas where I wound not have been able to use my laptop. I also can use my laptop to make calls through my iPhone so I can just leave it up there were it gets the best signal and make speakerphone calls from the laptop. I'm tempted to pull the cell booster from the RV and test it in my truck. The problem with stationary units like RV or home is that there needs to be separation between the inside and outside antennas. I believe it's 25' on the RV units. If you don't have that, you can create a null zone where the antennas cancel each other out. This is one reason that vehicle units are weaker and have less positive reviews. They need the boost to be weaker so the antennas play nice with each other. That and there is an FCC rule about max boost on a moving vehicle. I'm concerned less about the second one though...

i've looked at these for my RV too. I'd like to find a combo Cell and WiFi booster, that doesnt break the bank. Some campgrounds have decent wifi service, but too far from their antenna makes it tough. Other places, no wifi, and cell is a bit weak. I do see that there is a new "dome" to mount on the RV that is a combo, but the cell one is not a repeater, and requires a sim chip, which will equate to another "line" on my cell service.
FLAGPOLEBUDDY.COM used to advertise a extender that mounted to the top of their flagpoles. That would be cool, but there are quite a few occasions where its too windy to leave the flagpole up.

Rodney's comment about running the booster cable into the car through the window got me thinking about how to route a cable in the RV. My RV has ports on the outside for coax cable. Could I run the booster cable to that and then the interior part of it would connect to the coax outlet inside the trailer?

Great to know that I'm not blazing a new path.
Finally got around to ordering and installing rear drop legs on the enclosed trailer. I ended up with the ones that Neo makes. They are very proud of them at almost $300 delivered but they were the only game in town. Now I don't have to worry about the nose popping up when loading and unloading while not hooked up. They were a pretty straight install. Only thing I had to do to accommodate was to raise the lights.
those are clean looking
Cool info on cell boosters. Does anyone know if the opposite is available? Something to weaken my cell signal. I already switched to sprint for crappier service, but that backfired on me and now i get better cell reception at my house. I miss the days of 10-15 years ago loosing signal quite often and not having to be instantly available 24/7

There are times when I'm hunting that I would like to have one of those cell signal disruptors so the guys I'm with will put down their phones/laptops/tablets/watches. The new guy wore a $300+ apple watch on some strange watchband that didn't hold onto the watch. He thought he lost the watch out in the forest. (I was secretly elated) He found it under the seat of his car.
unfortunately in my line of work, that has become a nono.
since around the time when smart phones started popping up its gradually turned into a nightmare 24/7. amazingly...the same buildings got built on time, problems were solved in a timely manner. before all this technology crap
