Today is the day........
Looks like fun Rodney! And a hell of a lot of work! But the location looks great.
Today I did rear pads on the truck. Found something that really takes away from the fun of a dually. Rear rotors are ****. Everything was nasty rusty, but the rotors have big high spots on the inner 1/4-3/8 of the pad surface. Not really a project I feel like dealing with but is what it is. Threw the new pads in for now to buy me some time.
Unfortunately I still know what a rake is despite owning 2 powerflow baggers. LOL. I cannot remember a year this wet.

There are neighbors a decent distance away on either side but far enough away that you can't see either even with the leaves down. In all my time working up there, the only noise I've heard is from me.
Hey Scott, I did a little more looking at the big Echo. One of Tyler's complaints had me wondering about the fan cooling your back and the fact that you usually use it in the fall and wouldn't want cooling. I found that there is an insert supplied with the blower that blocks off the fan cooling in the cooler months so that's a best of both worlds situation. Just some info I just came across...
Well, no dice on the blower price! 579.99 was it. Even showed him the customer appreciation one day sale add. He says he heard nothing of it and his Echo rep is usually really good at communicating things like that. Still no more negotiating though. It's a nice machine. Definately felt lighter than the Husky. Stood around and talked about it with it on my back. Really didn't miss the waist strap. No sternum strap wasn't an issue in the store, it can be easily added if needed in the yard. Dealer said he took one home and spent 4 hours with it this weekend. Says it is an absolute beast. I feel like the cruise switch had a stiffer detent between idle and off than the Husky, though the owner said he did accidentally kill it twice.
As to what I'm doing at this point, I'm not sure.

Scott, Good luck with getting a deal on a blower!
I'm looking forward to the Black Friday deals, I hope the Bronco parts I'm looking for go a sale!
Thanks guys. Rainy day here so working on HVAC setup for the new place. Radiant floor system run by a Term Froling S3 wood boiler. LP boiler backup. Thermal storage on the system can heat you for days even with the fire out when the temps are in-between like now. Cost is a kick in the pants though. there is a rebate in MA so I should be able to recover 10-12k there. They have some interesting videos and PDF files on the product on their site if anyone wants to check them out...

Those are pretty impressive looking boilers, but it looks like you better buy this week to get that free valve! LOL!
Curious, what does something like that run? You mention 10-12k rebate, so it must be pricey. Our geothermal system was about 36k before rebates here (about 15k in rebates), and that includes 5 zones for a 5-ton unit, heat and A/C. Since you are quite a bit further north, I wouldn't think geothermal would be that beneficial. I LOVE the A/C part, but the heat is not a 'warm' heat. It is pretty cool to see we are heating our entire 2500 sqare foot home (plus 1500 finished in the basement) for about the same amount of energy as it takes to run a 1500 watt ceramic heater, though.
