Rodney nice simple upgrade, that angle does look like it would relieve pressure from a cord hanging straight then dropping down.

That's really useful. Our plug was always a PITA. Nice job, Rodney.

Speaking of electrical stuff, I bought one of those EMS surge protectors finally. The portable one, not the hard wired one. I think it might have been this thread that provided the recommendation.

It's a good thing to have for sure Jim. One of Monty's camping buddies refused his advice on buying one and has his rig cooked by a bad campground pedestal 2 months ago...

To the tune of $5,800. And still doesn't have the rig back yet.

Up until several weeks ago I depended on the PI portable EMS unit; I finally bit the bullet and had a 50A hard wired unit installed. Yes it hurt the wallet but its an investment to the future and gives me piece of mind.

I considered the hardwired one but I really didn't want to dig into the rat's nest of wiring behind my main panel. That and I'm thinking ahead and hoping to move up in the next couple of years.

To be honest I was in the same frame of mind. I used my portable EMS unit on two prior RVs but when I recently purchased my current 5th I went for it.

Now if I can find my TMPS sensors (TST 507) that I've also moved from camper to camper. This item is important enough to me that if I don't find them I WILL replace them. Peace of mind.

I'm pretty pleased with the OEM trailer TPMS that Ford added in 2017. The only two ways it could be better is if the trailer PSI was displayed on the same screen as the truck tires and if it also showed temperature. I can infer temperature from PSI but the temperature might be a bit more granular. I haven't done the math on that so I could be wrong.

The hard wired surge protector would be nice in that you can't forget it at home, or forget it on the pedestal at the campground. At the last campground I was at someone had left a filter and a nice water pressure gauge/valve on the drinking water spigot. I bet they won't realize they left it until the next time they fill up with water.

Her company actually did. The check was delivered to the repair shop about 10 days ago. It fried the power cord, microwave, fridge, washer, ceiling fan and converter. I was able to find and change the converter for her at 5pm on a Friday to get her 12v side up and running, but the fridge wouldn't work on anything.
