Yes another explorer interior swap thread

So I have this 2001 ranger ext cab I just got and a 1999 explorer Eddie bauer and I need to know what I need to take from the explorer to make the seats and console fit properly. How do I get the miles to e monitor to work and the electronics on the console. I Also want to swap the digital a/c controls over. The radio, the overhead console and the steering wheel and need to know how to make all this stuff work properly. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Important part on the console is the floor mount. Think its riveted to the body of the explorer. The console bolts into the dash in the front like it was made for it.

What about the vents and electronics. I would be nice to have functioning rear a/c.

i didnt bother with mine. Honestly, the dash AC vents in my truck already fog over the rear window. I carry gear in the back, so there is never a person back there anyway. Once in place, the full console makes it pretty much so the controls and vents are inaccessible from the front anyway.

I'd like to get the rear a/c to work. Summers are brutal down here. Can use all the vents I can get.

just realize that you have only one "box" so what cool air gets diverted to the back has to come from somewhere else. That being said, I think the ranger AC boxes are different than the explorer boxes and might require additional replacement parts under the dash.

Im in central FL....so yeah, I know heat. BUT my ranger AC will freeze me out in very short order. So maybe getting the ac overhauled might be a better option.
