I am starting to think my battery is going to need to be replaced. I had to jump the car a few days ago after only having the car lights on for an hour or so and the radio on for about 10 minutes and I was like OK, maybe that was my fault there. Had it happen to me again yesterday except I only listened to the radio for about 25 minutes..no interior lights on or anything. Should I have the battery tested at Autozone? Is it potentially a fuse or something? If so how would I know? I don't have any tools to measure volts at the moment. Best battery for a decent price if I need to replace it? Currently the Ex has an Interstate battery which is from Costco I believe if I read the label correctly, can't warranty it since I bought the car with the battery and don't have a receipt for it lol.
Check the ground cable first. It has a tab in the middle that grounds to the frame and the end goes to the engine block. We have Carquest batteries in our vehicles and our happy with them.
Could be the alternator...from the pic that looks like a new battery if I had to guess. It sure is the cleanest one I have ever seen inside a vehicle...
Went to Advanced Auto today and the battery had half the cold cranking amps according to their machine. Need to get the alternator tested..and hope it's just the battery..or it could be a fuse but I need a volt meter to check that right?

With a new battery they can test the alt too while its running or u can clamp test it with a load
I would try and warranty it out but I bought the car from a dealer so I don't think I could get the phone number. Battery was made in 08, not sure when it was put in though, so it could have been used for a long time or it could have been on the shelf for sometime, not sure. I hope it is just the battery, probably will be going tomorrow to get a new one.
joethepieguy, please see the website at the below link for everything you ever wanted to know about vehicle batteries.

I read and studied this website for several days. It is a fantastic reference and after becoming educated, I can now manage the two batteries in our 7.3 L Excursion.
Basically, no more battery mysteries after becoming educated.
I would recommend the Motorcraft 850 cca batteries. I have one in my truck and it works great. Otherwise the Diehard Platinum's are supposed to be rebadged odyssey AGM's.
Hey all, just wanted to update you all, got a Walmart battery as a temporary one, still in the hole a bit cause I just bought the vehicle, once I get a little settled in I plan on purchasing something new, probably a DieHard Platinum or something of that like.
