Hi guys and gals, ( 84 Ford 1/2 ton Econoline)
I need help! I have replaced both front calipers, both hoses, mastercylinder twice in a week, and blead front to back, back and back , front and front, and it still wont hold a pedal on the front .
What am I not doing ?
Please advise. JV
First do you have any vaccum at power brake booster? and if you do, you need to make sure that there is no AIR in the master cylinder itself, first bleed it, then go to each connection and bleed them, it works be criss-crossing from wheel to wheel. starting st the front drivers side wheel well, each time you bleed (or pump the petal slowly to the floor, just push on the petal firmly and do not let up with the line open, or you will just induce more air into the system and will have to start over.do this at each connection point, don't pump hard - just a slow push to the floor will do it and then hold it have someone tighten the fitting, go to next point... with the motor running also. I've done it this way many times, and it works each time.
