To check on any recalls or field service actions that may apply to your vehicle, just enter your VIN here: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...e/recalls.html I recommend making an appointment at your dealership as well; they'll be happy to track down the source of any unusual odors. Be sure to come back and post your results; if I can be of any additional assistance, just let me know.

around 18-20K I started having this issue. I was told to make sure I used heat before it was parked, and to make sure re-circ was off.
yea. because I had to do that on my 99 and on my09? no - no I didn't.
typical issues like this where they are re-created by several owners and nothing seems to be done or those around who care. besides those its also happening too.
don't get me started on how many updates we have had to SYNC. where we were supposed to get apps, and other features that never happened.
while I do appreciate what the FORD reps try to do on here. very little happens after the fact
there is a cleaning procedure they can try. however the smell came back in mine after they cleaned it. come to find out they never actually did anything but spray some 'new truck' smell in the vent.
My truck is pretty loaded up and I keep it set on "Auto" at 72. Since its been cold for last 5 months I have got nothing but heat from it and remote starting is awesome to get it warmed up, including heated seats, before I get in. Rode wife yesterday and she didn't notice.
I am not going to jump the gun yet on this. Sometimes a forum can plant an idea in users mind. But next smell I am sitting someone else in there and asking what they get out of it....
