F100, 1982, 4.9 In line 6 with clark 4 speed gearbox. my next project as i drive it every day is to put a new clutch.
What is the sequence of disasembly to get to the clutch on these?
i assume transmission shaft has to go out first? disconnect from the rear end where the two U small clamp hold it? does it pull out from the gear box rear end extension housing or such housing need to be dissasembled as well?
Then gear box? does the gear box and clutch housing can come out in one piece together or does the clutch housing need to be disaembled from the gear box?
Is anybody posted the procedures for such job in the past on the forum, i searched but could not find any.
any tip or experience do and don't would be appreciated as it is the first time i will do a clutch on a Ford truck..did many on other car type, mainly painfull frontwheel drive....
thank you
