Interchangeable parts?

I have a 1978 302 small block and i bought a used 1984 351w small block to use as a parts engine. will the intake crank shaft pulley distributor and fuel pump from the 351 fit the 302? i really need to know because if not then i need to do an engine swap.

Intake manifold will not - the deck height is different due to the longer stroke of the 351. Almost anything else (other than the crankshaft and connecting rods) will interchange.

AFAIK, distributor and fuel pump are identical. Crank pulleys should be interchangeable - that's more an issue of what works for your belt drive system. Harmonic balancers and flywheels are interchangeable for 302s built before 1981, but later model 302s have a different imbalance.

An intake manifold for a 351W is wider than one for a 302W because the heads are a little farther apart:

Nope, sorry, it's the other way around. Identical bore, different stroke. You can even interchange cylinder heads. The intake manifold is one of the few bolt-on parts that doesn't interchange.

302: 4" bore, 3" stroke
351: 4" bore, 3.5" stroke
