What do you think about this?
A friend of mine is getting married. Another friend talked to me about getting a firearm for him. He suggested something in the 25-06 range. I looked at the Rem 700 BDL and the Savage 112. I made the decision to go with the Savage. I prefer a synthic stock but the setup on the Savage I thought was great.

And yes, we got a killer price on it. Can't wait to see his face when he opens the box up.
We have a tradition of presenting a BIG box full of nonsense. Things like nonfunctional or barely functional firearms mixed in with various goodies. At the bottom will be the Savage, probably disassembled so he will not know what he has until he gets to the bottom and puts it together.
