I have a 2001 V10 Limited and my steering wheel controls don't work. Only have horn and cruise control, no radio controls. I recently found out about the cruise control switch recall, and after checking my Ex, the jumper harness has been installed.


My question is if the fuse in the jumper harness is bad would it take out the horn as well? I am leaning towards a clock spring replacement but would prefer to not spend the almost $200 for a part I may not need. I do not have any cluster lights illuminated, i.e. no airbag light etc.

You mean the buttons correct? You only have the 2 on one side and the three on the other, not that you have them all and only some work correct?

 

Sorry, wasn't very clear I guess. My steering wheel only has cruise buttons, and currently they don't work, along with the horn not functioning.

 

Anyone know if the cruise and horn circuits are connected? Hoping to get this figured out here soon.
