I have a chance to get some 4:10 geared axles, they are out of a 89 4X4 with a Diesel and I want to put them in my 91 with a 351W. Is this a direct swap or not. I wouldn't mind a little modification but if it's a big mod job I'll just pass.


Also if the front ends are the same could I just change the third member instead of the whole front end??

Are the trucks f150, 250, or 350?

 

That info might help....they are both F-250

 

I believe its direct if both are 4x4 trucks

 

only if the axles are both D-50's. if the gas truck has a D-44 front diff the parts are different.
