Speed density

Okay so I have a 93 F150 4 x 4 302. I want to know what sensors and systems are involved with the speed density. I have search the Internet up-and-down couldn't find anything of use. I do want to keep it speed density because of the better throttle response. Any advice would be wonderful thank you.

Im wanting to "rebuild" the speed density system because of the better throttle responce and simply because its got 253,591 miles on it. It could use some freshing up imo.

If everything is working as it should and nothing has been neglected plus all the sensors check out okay it would be a waste of good money to replace them all if you ask me. What engine do you have? 300 inline 6? 302? 351?

Emission related sensors (like the O2 sensor) will cause the "Check Engine" light to trigger. I presume your CE light illuminates when your turn your key on?

Still not sure what 'problems' you are trying to address though.

The truck runs really choppy. The spark plugs are brand-new. The wires are 8 1/2 mm brand-new. it has great throttle response but is very choppy when it's running. By choppy I mean it runs like it's missing. After it warms up it runs fine no problems.

Did you replace the distributor cap and rotor along with the plugs and wires? I had a 89 F150 with the inline six that would run very choppy as well, but after a full tune up (plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor) it ran fine. Most misfires in the ignition system will present themselves under a hefty throttle load because the weak spark does not have enough volts to ignite the air/fuel mixture under load.

Double check the spark plugs wire routing. Do you know the firing order?

(Not trying to insult, just asking.)
