Fuel system 2: not reported

So the truck is running and pretty well at that. 97 f150 5.4l auto 4x4 lariat

The labscope shows both the upstream O2 sensors to be switching. It shows the long term fuel trim at 0. But the readouts for the downstream O2 sensors to be pegged at 1 (rich). Now it is quite possible that a bit of fuel got dumped into the cats while trying to figure out my no spark situation as well as I had the #1 coil not firing for a bit.

The scope indicated that bank 1 is running in closed loop, but that bank 2 is 'not reported'.

I'm new to using a scope. If anyone has any advice on the "bank 2 is 'not reported'" bit, I would appreciate the heads up.

Cheers, Van

The scope probably isn't set up correctly for the 97 (reading wrong PIDs).

Use the 97 OBDII manual (motorcraftservice.com) and the scope's manual to set it up.

I still haven't found what I'm looking for, but what's the chances Ford didn't set this one up as a two bank fuel system?

Have you gone through the OBDII manual yet for any clues?

Its normal for the downstream O2s to read high. They read oxygen and there is little to no oxygen in the exhaust after the cat.

I'm working on it guy..
By the way, thanks for the heads up. I was ignorant of this information's availability. I will definitely be reading though this a couple times, but as of now, I haven't found the relevant info regarding my question.

Cheers
