Belltech Lowering KIt

I have a 98 4.2L 5speed STX and i was thinking about puting the Belltech 3/4 lowering kit. Has anyone had any experience w/ this kit? Im not too concerned about ride. I know that they sell kits w/ there own brand shocks. Are those any good or should i buy other ones. I wanted to buy Edelbrock IAS shocks but i here they wont work w/ a lowered truck b/c the shocks need to be shorter. Is this true? Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks Matt

Belltech Lowering KIt

I have no experience with a belltech shock but I am also curious about the ride and handling cause I plan to lower my truck, but I can help a little with the Edelbrock IAS shock problem. In the new truckin mag on p. 179 they have new IAS shocks for lowered trucks.

1997-2003 Ford F-150, lowered 2" x 4" (Shocks designed for Belltech or equivalent)

Front pt # 33987
Rear pt # 34987

Hope this helps some.

What month issue of Truckin is that? And will those shocks work for a 3" front drop?

Thanks
Matt

I am not sure exactly what month it is, but it is the most recent issue w/ an orange dodge on the cover and I guess if it says it will work with the belltech kit it must be okay for a 3 in drop. I guess you would have to call them.
