Ford 9" Fitment
I have a Ford 9" out of a 70 Mustang. I was told by previous truck owner it was too long to put in my 52 F1 and would need cut down. Will it fit in my F1 and is it a big conversion with a bunch of fabrication? Haven't brought the rear end home yet so not sure of the exact measurements? I'm about to order Posies rear lowering kit for my truck....

Other problems with using the Mustang rear is the spring pads will need to be relocated, and the axle lug pattern won't match the front, unless you have custom axle shafts made or change hubs up front, too. That's why most guys stick with the 57-72 truck 9" as it's a near bolt in and go. But it all depends on your plans for the truck.
