The best source for adapters when putting on a cone filter is your local muffler shop. They have lightweight exhaust tubing that can be expanded on the ends to whatever size you need. Just take in whatever pieces you need to join and watch them do their magic. They are also really cheap. I just did my Jeep Wrangler yesterday. $20 for the filter at AutoZone (3" inlet) and $5 for a custom-made pipe at Midas Muffler. Add a couple of inlets into the pipe for the oil breather and whatever else connected to the air box and you are back on the road. A great set up that actually looks good for less than 30 bucks!
My 92 F-150 is the next patient for this operation. I may just put a cone on each of the speed density intake tubes.
