95 f150
My 95 f150 with 4.9l v6 speedometer stopped working and then my truck started to shift hard from 1st to second. Could the two be related?

Yes, need to fix the VSS signal to the PSOM to regain correct trans operation. You should have an E4OD transmission, fully electrically controlled. All sensor readings matter. BTW it is not a V6 but rather an inline 4.9L six cylinder (I6).

If the odometer is blank then check Fuse 18 and 8. One supplies Keep alive power to the PSOM, the other is "hot" with the key in the Run position.
