Audio. My $.02. For staying Cheap and decent sound, I really like my Sound Ordnance speakers from Crutchfield. I put the 6 3/4's components in my Focus and sound great for the $50-60 I spent on them.
That's some pretty good mileage for that speed, that overdrive gives you another mpg and a half over my stock V10. I'm hopeful that when I get the banks exhaust on and open up her airway, and tune I can get some mpg closer to 14. We'll see. Another thing before you decide on a lift, check your springs. My fronts were shot, bumpstops were gone and had ubolt marks on the frame at 140K, a lift would have been a waste of money without changing springs, but then again, I beat the crap out of mine. Good luck with yours.
Hey NCTunanut!
I was pleased with the MPG. Especially since I had a full load. We have 4 adults, 1 child, a bunch of gear. Easily added 1500+ lbs.
Good call on springs. I'll do that. I'll be honest, the truck performs well for me as-is, it's just an anesthetics thing for me. I hate the current rake with the lower front-end. Annoys me to no end.

I believe you already had some suspension work in the rear (looks nice). Throw a new head unit in the dash and roll on.
So...you want to see my a$$?

Hey mecdac!
Great post! The new bumper looks great! How difficult was the project? Remember, I've done 0.0 work previously. I assume you painted to match?

Hello 05MilMachine!
I thought the GV was pretty cool myself. I'll be working on those pics as soon as my BIL comes by.

Hey 1NiceHarley,
Thank you!
I dig the white. I thought about doing the whole truck white but couldn't find any budget friendly options. So, I'm going to try the Plasti-Dip. Otherwise, I may just pull all the beige trim off. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks for the audio advice. Appreciate it.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys, stoked to get working on my truck...now what to call the damn thing!?

Could be worse, could have an oil burner. These things are a blast but upgrades drain the wallet faster than an Ethiopian at a buffet.
Understood! Hopefully I'll have a little play money here and there on top of some DIY's to reduce costs.

Me to Magnus E. I found the below truck as inspiration, although mine would be the workin man's budget version. I also wouldn't do as much on the lift but it does look nice. I want to dry dipping the trim black before taking it off or going all white.
Anyone know where/how they did the black/white grill emblem here, just painted it?

I didn't attract too much attention here at work (NASA Mission Control style Oil Refinery Central Control Room) laughing my *** off when I read that.
Thanks Mark!
That looks like the work of BilletBadges.com Steve's a cool guy
Thanks Peace2Peep!
I just checked out his site. His stuff looks good. I was going to request a quote but couldn't find the size/year combo listed.

I did all that for Matt, WE3ZS, LL, APOC, Stewart and all the little people.

Welcome to FTE! So I also have a white Ex with the gold trim. I hate the gold like you do and have experimented with plastidip on it. I tried the gray and it looks like crap. The black looked way better. I just did one section to try it out. This isn't a very good picture but after doing the black, it is the way I am going to go to remove the gold. I did it with the rattle cans and I wouldn't recommend that. For this I am going to buy a gun and spray it to get a even texture. I have done some other parts (wiper cowl, rear hatch trim around the lock) with the rattle can and it all came out ok, but it just didn't look good on the gold cladding. Anyway, here is a bad picture of it.

Hey JuanHuevos!
Thanks for the feedback.
I've done a lot of research on Plasti Dip. It's my understanding that Black or Gun Metal are the only colors to really cover well without using Black or Gun Metal as a sort of primer.
I have 8 rattle cans and the spray nozzle attachment being delivered tomorrow. I guess I'll see how it goes. I'm still considering taking the trim.
I like the black Juan. I tried rattle can plastidip playing around with stripes on my old Corvette. It never looked right on larger sections, but subsequent coats melted together over it easily.
