Anybody know if you can splice/repair these? I pulled a few from the salvage yard and some of them are longer then others which suprised me. And of course the one thats long enough for me has a bad end where it plugs into the radio.
It is simple COAX, which IIRC cannot be effectively spliced.
However, a new (or even a used) end could be installed on the end, I would think, using regular COAX methods.
Get a new end at Radio Shack, or cut a usable end of a short cable, give it about six inches.
Remove the outer husk and wrapping as much as possible, and then heat the center post to release the solder that holds the center wire.
