IMRC actuator?
Hi all! 
I need to replace my intake manifold runner control valve solenoid or actuator, the black box on the back of the intake manifold. I'd love to use a motorcraft one, but living in the Philippines and being dependent on ordering online, I just can't find one, the only one I can find is a Dorman part:

Has anyone tried this one? I've seen so many mixed reviews about Dorman that I don't really trust them as a brand, some parts are apparently good, while others aren't worth the cardboard box they ship it in... It's a made in China part, so it doesn't give much confidence, and it's a PITA to get to it, since you have to remove the manifold, already did it once to diagnose it.... The original one had a broken connector, tried to glue it back together with epoxy and all, but it still shows up with a DTC for being stuck closed so I guess it's toast..
On a side note, how exactly can you test these without firing up the engine?? Would be awesome to actually test the damn thing without having to bolt on the intake manifold to verify that it actually works.
