Rocker conversion

I just installed a Crane stud conversion and Comp cams roller rockers on my
89' F250 ,FI 460. When I adjust the rockers as instructed to take the rocker to zero lash and another half turn, all is well until the lifter bleeds down and the push rod spins.
Should I keep tightening or leave the nut at the original position.
The engine has only 40,000 miles, but it is 25 years old.
Its stock except for the Gibson headers.
Thanks for any advice....Terry

Oil pressure will pump up the lifter and remove the slack once the engine is started so I'd leave it at your initial setting.
