Pull Off

As long as the granny gear truck isn't lifted upwards by the other truck.

The gear ratio doesn't have anything to do with winning a pull-off. They're ALL about traction. Traction comes from the REAR tires; how they meet the surface they're on; and how much weight is holding them against that surface.

A lifted Suzuki would have NO trouble pulling a Lightning if the chain was short because the high hitch would steal all the weight (& traction) from the low one. If your wheels don't have enough weight on them, you could have 1,000:1 final ratio and it won't help.
