my bed of my 99 f250 is all rusted and got holes.... and i painting my truck as we speak.
what would the best way be to fix this?
i found a 2011 bed but it has alot of dents on the skin of the bed.... i thought i might change the sking from the 99 bed and put it on the 2011 bed? is that possible?
or change the rusty bottom from the 99 bed with the 2011 bottom which is in perfect condition.
would appreciate some feed back on how to address this issue....
I am getting ready to replace the bed floor in my son's 79 f150 due to the same problem. I am ordering the bed floor from lmc and replacing just the floor. I want to keep as much of it original as I can, so I'm leaving the rest of the bed as is.

i don't know how much you want to spend. you can get the complete bed floor with under support rails from ford for 550. i picked up a complete bed for 950 with rust on the support rails.
I do t know where you are, but on capitalist here in Oregon, there are several complete beds in very nice condition for $300_$500 .
Shipping should not be that big of a deal, and you will be able to spend less time getting your truck back together.
Just another option.

I'm in the rust belt of upstate ny. New take off beds around 2000 here. They want 400 for used rust free doors.
Check the craigslist correction, and ship one to your rust belt.
All your friends will be in shock and awe, and want one also.
You could make a few bucks , selling beds .
