I bought a 2002 explorer, v8, Eddie Bauer with the class III/IV tow package. I have the electric brake cable that came with the vehicle and an electric brake controller (Tekonsha - Voyager). I thought that this was going to be an easy install but...
...I can't figure out where to plug the cable in. I've seen many references to a recepticle under the driver side dash but I don't see anything that will accept the cable connector. I went back to the dealership and got "deer in the headlight" looks. Everyone agrees that it should be there but no one seems to know where. The service manager will freely admit to being clueless.
Surely I'm not the only person who ran into this problem????
I own a 03 exploer ,v8, with a trailer tow package. My electric brake controller plug is located just above the glove box and to the left. It's tucked up high enough to make it hard to find but it is there. good luck
