CELTISH NOTIONS
Aye, the weather seems bad. I hae a fine pup that lays at me feet, and the warm coombs from the both of us
Should the damned cold and snow overcome us - that will be a matter for later
If I hae tae goe five mile I wull bring home something tae cook, and there is always fallen wood here.
Should a bear coom - it will rue it's trespass, for I hae a fine 58 caliber, and hae kept it clean dry and the powder fair.
Thae cabin procedes wull...
On this fine day of winter, 1859 - I bless the laird who has given us this time in the new land, and we shall make a home of it
Looking at that, I feel no worries for the coming year. My ancestors made fine people!
