Have an inline clamp I use for welding and was spearmenting by positioning the brake pedal to the same height as the clutch, with the engine running, then clamped both the actuating and brake pedal arm together and scribed the location of the holes, estimate should not take more than half hour unless I make a mistake in the hole location??
Dave, That could have been what happened to me but this was about 14 years ago and many more have done it now.
I look at the gas pedal for positioning, while driving you move your one foot between the pedals and you usually don't have to do more than rotate your heel. Notice any other auto vehicles that you might own or have access to.
John, appreciate the input. When the 302 was installed I went to a direct throttle linkage system so consequently the throttle pedal sets close to the floor so I am comfortable with the clutch and brake pedal at the same level.
