Question 4bbl Intake C1AE3425B

Aftenoon list.

I have a chance to purchase a FORD 4 BBL intkae for an FE. It is cast iron and has the casting number C1AE3425B

Anyone know the factory application, and as factory intakes go are some better than others?

I assume there would be no issues with using it on a 1972 360?

That would be a 1961 unit off a 352? 390's were out in 63 I think. There's no real problem running it on your motor unless your finicky about everything matching perfectly since the intake ports will be taller than the ones on the newer style heads. It''ll have the draft stuff on it, no pcv back then.

I'd pass on this manifold unless it is really cheap, like 10 bucks or so! Changing these 77 pound beasties is a PITA and PCV conversion issues on this manifold will make you nuts. Maybe grab it and stick it on EBAY?
