i added some bearing grease around the door seals after i got home... hopefully thatll keep it from happening again... Think i need to replace them too... the fuzzy one near the top of the door is getting stiff as is what should be the softer rubber ones too...

ntm the windshield wouldnt thaw out either... which was a pita too see through on the way home... even the -20 washer fluid just turned to more ice making it worse... im seriously considering buying one of them washer fluid heaters and installing it on the truck...

Hot fluid on a cold windshield will make it crack...

Better to put in a remote starter and warm the truck up

That it will Don. Thats why IO love having the remote start. Lets me start clearing the windows before I leave so I dont have to do as much to clear them.

the ones ive been looking at are made specifically so they dont do that... temps just warm enough to melt the ice but not cause it to shatter...

i had the inside of the truck so warm all the rest of the windows were fogging up... while the windshield was still a ice sheet...

only complaint ive seen from people in the reviews for them is that in some of them they had issues with the nozzles melting... others complained that the washer fluid would crystallize around the nozzles causing them to clog up.. other than that they seemed to love them... but have wondered how many of them either installed it wrong or didnt run them long enough...

btw Mercedee's has it as a factory option some of their vehicles with no problems... few other mfg's have also been using it and/or considering adding it...
