Im restoring a 1959 F100 and want to move the fuel tank under the bed behind the rear end. Has anyone done this and where does one find a new tank for this relocation?
Any suggestions would be grateful !! Thanks again!! Kevin
Your frame looks nice.
I used a Isuzu Tank With side fill door. got it from the pick-n pull complete with skid plate, 21 gal's.https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...he-fridge.html
I've got some pictures somewhere I'll have to find them, now that FTE has deleted some of our galleries
Heres some pictures of the Isuzu tank and skid pan. You can see where I moved the cross member back ` 6"s . I also adapted the original float and sending unit in order to use the stock gauges.

Along with the link Spurredon just posted.
Thats an interesting rear spring set up?
Hi Teddy.... hey was that a Trooper or pickup you got the tank from and the year if that makes a difference. That install looks pretty slick. Got me thinking that I might want to do that to my 57.
Mill you are welcome, As you can see by now we all try help!
Would like to see more pictures of your project and hear what the plans are from what I have seen, it looks good.
Buzz the tank is out of a 92 Isuzu Rodeo, I think that body style covered 6 or 8 years.

Day 1
Oh the RUST!
Initial primer going on
Rusty had no engine or trans when I got it. Got a hold of a '68 390 w/ 4 speed tranny.
Looks like you are trying to do things well. It may seem long but it really is a lot of the fun. I am toying with another project but the war dept. is toying with projects for me of a different nature. We are both strong willed so eventually I will have another truck and will do the things she wants, kind of! LOL
