Yikes!!! That 5k$ tag is pretty hefty! Did you look into building your own EFI system?

That's what I'm doing, and I'm sure there is a mod thread out there for your truck that has an EFI conversion that's done for a lot less! For me the average kit runs about 1.5k$ but can be built for under 600 for a modestly put together DIY kit.

Something to chew on maybe?

Yes, it is expensive, but it's fully OBDII. This means I can use it on my 04 to do a V8 swap.

That tells me that it will work well within the range you plan to run it - it is after all a truck build.

Better that it should starve out before blowing the block.

Above 5K is a racing engine range, and the price goes up as you persue that.


I think this mill will last a long time!





PS: EFI will give you precise fuel metering and better economy.

It's an Edelbrock/Holley 650CFM

~These are actually made by WEBER in Germany


NEVER OVER-CARB THE ENGINE!

The math is pretty straightforward. The only question is estimating the flow - which is what VE is all about.

Luckily there are some online calculators out there online.
