03 Excursion drivetrain noise on light acceleration
Like the title says. It's like a lob-sided metal skipping noise. Only can hear it on light acceleration. And then its gone above 10mph or so. Otherwise she runs like a top. I just finished a 4 wheel brake job which included new rotors and pads all around. Both front hubs checked tight no noise or movement. All ujoints seem ok but I need to do more looking there im sure. This sounds like a bearing noise but like at the transmission or transfercase. Any ideas?
