I should be picking up my new 2015 Platinum Expedition this week, I've had 2005s and current 2013.
I like the looks of the 22" wheel option on the new Expeditions but they come with the new CCD suspension and are not available with self leveling rear suspension which was a must-have for me.
I will likely immediately swap wheels/tires, factory/chrome 22" wheels are a consideration, but am concerned of how they will ride with the non-CCD suspension. I imagine the adjustable suspension would take away much of the harshness.
Anyone running 22" wheels with the 285-45-22 tires?
PS, I'm generally not a big-wheel fan, just like the looks of those Ford 22" wheels, especially in Chrome.
I run 22s, swapped them out after I burned through the tires on the factory 20s. I originally had 305 tires until I burned out those tires, now running 285s. They ride a little worse than the 20s and definitely get a little bouncier, but its generally just fine. The biggest notable is that I lost 1-2mpg both city and highway.
