I went to the local wrecking yard today, hoping to score a hydroboost from a 90's Astro or Safari. No luck. They do have a hydroboost from an 04 F250. Other than making a bracket to bolt it to my firewall, is there any other reason why this unit may not work on my truck?
I remember seeing pics in one of the Builds here where a Cummins was involved. I don't remember which build though. Note. Diesels don't generate enough vacuum to support a vacuum brake booster. So any of the Diesel builds here would have either mounted a hydroboost or a vacuum pump. Hope that helps Merc.

The F250 the hydroboost is coming from is a diesel. I think it should work, but just wanted to make sure there wasn't something obscure about it that might make it not work. Thanks, I guess I'm going to try it....unless somebody else knows something about them?
I wanna say he had made a plate to locate it directly in line with the mount point on the pedal. Plate, not bracket like what you've got. May be grinergetter or highntight. Try looking through this one. 72 crew cab long bed cummins (12345 ... Last Page)
highntight
I guess the only thing I need to worry about then, is if it will fit between these two supports. When I make the plate to mount it, I may have to offset it a little to the drivers side.
73F250...dont think it matters. This whole setup is from mid 90's F350 with 2 custom made lines.
Seems like I had to elongate 1 or 2 holes on the firewall. Slightly.
