Grille swap

I have a 1991 f250. I love the truck, but that year just has a really ugly grille and headlight combo. I love how the 1985/86 truck grilles and headlights look. Would it be possible to get an 86 grille and headlight assembly and swap out the stock ones on my truck for that of the 86? Thanks in advance for any help.

Interesting concept. I agree the 87-91 looks like crap. But I always wanted to do the 92-96 swap.never thought going back to 80s on it.

I agree about liking the bullnose better. If you convert a bricknose to a bullnose, the front wheel well openings won't match the bed.

Depending on what trim level it is some body lines won't line up either I believe

Guess I'm mostly upset BC I can't find aftermarket headlights for mine(and only a few billet grille's,but some red paint fixed mine up). Nobody in the aftermarket cosmetic business likes them obviously

Agree with the above that the '87 to '91 ain't the prettiest by a long shot. Models from both earlier and later are nicer IMO. But mine is definitely growing on me. If you want to change it, your best option is to just buy a different truck.

I would have bought an 80-86, but i live up in new england so dealing with a carb in this kind of weather isn't something i wanted to deal with, especially since the truck would be my daily driver. But i'm gonna go down to the scrap yard as soon as some of this snow melts and see what i can find. Thanks for all the help guys.

Bricknose ain't so pretty. I like the 92-97 style and a bullnose swap would be cool too, but what would REALLY look good is swapping on the dentside (73-79) front end. Different chassis though, probably a lot more work than it would be worth. For me at least... I hate body work!

And the ugliest F-series front end of all time is the 97-04. The back ain't so bad but looking at the front reminds me of a tampon. Fugly yard-dart aero rounded 90's Taurus-looking pile of poo!

The 73-79 is definatley one of the best looking body styles on a truck. I've been doing some more research and it looks like switching the brick nose to a bull nose is mostly just a bolt on project where very little modifications will need to be made.
