Why are my posts ending up double spaced?

Why are my posts ending up double spaced?
Every time I post, I typed everything out with separate lines of text single spaced, yet when I post, it comes up double spaced...and when I go to edit the post I can take the extra space out and then it's fine, but why is it doing this initially?

that happened to me a while ago. i could not figure it out, but it stopped when i switched to a new laptop. so i figured it was a setting i accidentally changed in the computer.
