rebuild issues

i have a 89 f250 a 460 and i blew up the original motor. Anyways got the new motor in and have been driving it but i dont know if i have the little hose off of the air box in the right spot

pics?????? we can't help diagnose "hoses in the incorrect spot" issues with out any type of pics to see the problem lines in question...

the reason for asking is i noticed liquid in it and it was gas

On my 5.8L F350 the PCV vent hose went to a filter located in the bottom of the air box. Assuming this is the same hose, yes it goes to the driver side valve cover.

Not unusual to find moisture/oil in the hose. Gas....another story.

that is what i thought and also my truck will start fine when its cold but after you get it to running temp it starts hard if it starts at all. I have checked timing and cant figure why
