Hey guys my 6.0 powerstroke can barely build up power to make it go 55 . It took me 2 miles on flat road to even get close to speed. I started it this morning, let it warm up for about an hour, when I left and felt the doggy-ness of it, I stopped checked tranny fluid just in case and that was full. I just recently got it started after a month of no start due to a bad ficm. Don't know what I should check out.
No I don't have any numbers or the gauge. It's a 2004 ford f350, 2 weeks ago I did get it started but it ran rough for little while because of the ficm but it would shift fine and I had plenty of power then, but when I put a new power supply on the ficm it started right up, but doesn't have the power. Thinking it's in the shifting or electrical
I was looking around the motor today and seen the intercooler came apart on one of the sides so I took it out and put back together, put it back in the truck and she drove fine and walked right up to 55 mph with no problem until I slowed down then punched it and I lost all the power again. Is there a way to fix the intercooler without buy a new one or a used one?
Inter cooler split, means that is where you are loosing your boost. You have to replace it. Mishimoto or Banks or stock. You might source from an auto wrecker which would likely be your most cost effective alternative.

Sorry to hear about the stock cooler failure! From what I recall, the stock end tanks are crimped to the core and utilize a gasket for proper sealing. Perhaps you can speak with a repair shop and see if they are able to reseal a stock unit. Otherwise, a replacement unit will need to be sourced.

Thanks! Depending upon your budget, this would be a great time to upgrade to an aluminum counterpart. Not only will it improve reliability, but it should also decrease intake temperatures as well as EGTs.
