Question Temperature of coolant ?

I recently purchased an 84 bronco II w/ a 2.8 engine and am having a couple of problems. The temperature dummy light comes on after the engine has been running for a few minutes. I replaced the radiator, head gasket, machined the heads, water pump, and finally the thermostat, and the light still comes on. One side of the radiator (left) gets hot, and the other stays cold. The upper left radiator hose stays hot while the lower right hose goin to the thermostat does not. The thermostat is positioned so that the thermometer is facing the hose and radiator like I have done on all other cars&trucks. Am I putting the thermostat in wrong on this engine??????? I also have a fuel problem. The engine will run and suck fuel from an external gas tank, but not from the gas tank. Replaced fuel pump and attempted to blow out fuel lines. Any ideas??????? PLEASE HELP!

Temperature of coolant ?

Okay, well, wouldn't the left side of the radiator and the upper hose be hot because that's where the hot coolant from the engine dumps out, and the other side and lower hose cool because that's where the coolant goes after heat is exchanged from the liquid to the air, therefore helping the engine stay cool? My upper hose is hot too, that's where hot coolant goes through. I dunno about ur temperature light, or if ur overheating or not, but to me the hot and cool sides/hot and cool hoses sounds normal to me. And about ur gas problem, I dunno.
