97 f250 sclb 4" lift
Had a one piece DL made. Went to put her in tonight and with the yoke fully compressed it just don't quite fit
I put the rear on first and the front mount won't fit over the big nut on the tranny side
I probably can take the rear off and put the front on first and then figure out how to get the rear u-joint bolts in somehow?
Even it I did get it in it would have no room left to compress, would that be bad?
Update - I gave the slip yoke a tap with the 5- pounder and it compressed a little more. So it's in but I dont think it's got much room for compression movement, maybe a 1/4" at the very most

Yes that could be bad the first time you hit a bump. It sounds like you will need to shorten the driveshaft some.
I'm not understanding how you was trying to mount the driveshaft by installing the rear first, but that might be another story.
