1975 f100 short bed. looking to do a hot rod build.

Hey, looking for links to websites on performance parts for my truck. Need full works. Engine, suspension, chassis, brakes, exterior, interior. Looking to upgrade the entire thing. First starting with suspension, steering, and wheels though. Then going to do the body and paint, then the interior. Lastly the engine. She runs great already. And not looking to race the streets in her... Haha
Anyways if anyone knows of any links to solid performance parts websites that'd be much appreciated.

Tell us about your truck, the "hot rod" build plan, and estimated budget. Also shed some light on your wrenchworthiness.... From there we can probably point in some directions.

Links? You want links?

Hey, thanks a lot for the links.
The build; I'm wanting to eventually do a slight wide body on it. With flat black, and creme. Replacing the chrome pieces with a copper or bronze. I'm looking to keep it under 5k if possible at the moment.
I want to lower it about 2" or so. My main focus right now, is body and handling.
I'm a motorcycle mechanic, but have worked on bmws and vw for about 5 years. This is my first truck I've worked on. But so far that's all I have for ideas. The engine is the straight 6 300. With three on the tree trans.
I want to try and combine the rat rod truck look with more modern drift truck handling... if that makes since.

Better handling and brakes, try a crown vic IFS swap.

Just an FYI, there are no bolt on performance parts for the suspension. What most people go with is a crown vic front suspension swap, mainly because it is a pretty straight forward swap with some fairly simple fab work. Rear ends can go alot of different ways, you will need to decide what you want, stay with leaf springs or go IRS. Then research that to find a setup that can get you the gears and width you want. I believe a member here, Chasetruck if I am not mistaken has a mold for a wider fiberglass front fender. Interior, unless you are looking for replacement factory stuff, is gonna be custom. Seats up thru 96 will bolt to you track with minor mods. Motor, again, up to you, but you will probably need to go with something turbo charged, Ford performance makes stand alone harnesses and ecu's for the 5.4 and eco boost engines. %.4 you can get with a supercharger, eco boost is a turbo engine. Or, turbo charged 2.3l out of a turbo coupe, or deisel. Manual 5 speed or 6 speed.

5k budget will get you the suspension upgrades, maybe some of the body, and if you really bargain shop, some of the interior. The more you can do on your own, the better off your budget will be. Read, read read, lots of good info here. Go to the tech sticky at the top of the page. Alot of info on the crown vic swap and other things.
