A tool I hope to never be without at home or away from home is my Snap-on CT7850 cordless impact. Lithium batteries, 650lb/ft trq and no hose. Goes with me everywhere with 3/4, 13/16 and 7/8 Snap-on deep sockets (lug nuts) and a 1-1/2 deep for trailer *****. If I had to pick one favorite tool, this would be it.
My MIG welder has saved me many times over it's original cost, it is second.
I don't know what I did before I got an angle grinder. I use a cut-off wheel more than a grinding wheel. That is probably my most-used tool. BTW, a cheap Bosch 4 1/2" angle grinder can be had for $50. Mine has lasted 4 years so far.

I use mine a lot too. Grinding, cutting, removing flesh.....
My next favorite these days is a corded impact. Doesn't get everything loose but breaks %90 loose. I'll happily grunt %10 of the time. I do use a torque wrench for the final torquing for every lug nut.
Third is a good floor jack with a posse of jack stands. And a large bottle jack on deck just in case.
plasma cutter without a doubt is the best thing ever invented.
those snap on cordless impacts run a close second.
i have two of them, a CT3850 and a CT4850.
the 3850 is 210 ftlbs torque, the 4850 is 500 ftlbs torque.
i got them both at swap meets for $100 each. i keep the 4850 in the shop, and the 3850 in the truck.
