Clutch?
My a/c in my truck has developed a squeak now after coming back from a long trip. Now when the compressor turns on it clicks really loud and squeaks more also. Is my clutch on my a/c going out, everything is still working fine it just makes noises now and I don't want my belt to jump off and then be on the side of the road.

Clutch?
That's usually an indication of a compressor being hard to get turning, but could also just be the clutch. I've seen the compressor cause the clutch to go bad & then have to change both.

Clutch?
The clutch normally runs around $80 or so from a local parts store, but I'm not sure how much from the dealer. The compressor AND clutch is somewhere around $225 or so. It's been my experience that trying to get the compressor alone, without the clutch is normally more expensive that just buying the compressor/clutch combo. And I don't know why....
