timing
Hey guys, I need to do the timing on my 84 Ford f250 with a 351w 5.8L. I know where my timing mark is but im not sure what to set it to. I have not picked up a shop manual yet. Also, I have done timing on old cars but never a truck. Is it as simple as hitting my timing mark and turning the dist? Im just not sure if there is something fancy I need to do.

It's that simple, except take the vacuum line off the dist and plug it with a screw before checking and adjusting it. The factory spec is usually 8-10 degrees or in that neighborhood. Look at the sticker on the radiator support.
