Looking for feedback on if the center line of the CV assembly needs to be moved forward or back from the original front axle location to keep the wheels centered in the fender wells after the 5" drop. I'll be installing either 17"x8" or 18"x9" wheels.
I just want to make sure the wheels won't be off center once I re install the front clip and fenders.
the CV centerline on 61-64 needs to be 1" forward towards the bumper from the original axle centerline to center it in the fender opening on those years . Before permanently mounting its a good idea to mock it up with a fender in place anyways to make sure everything is where you prefer it . I have seen some moved an additional 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch forward and looks a little more aggressive if your tire OD still has the clearance .
