OBD II reader W/ Dash command ?

Hi guys,
I finally have the OBD II reader and running the Dash command on an iPhone 5s. I have downloaded the Ford Super duty 6.7 Skin for the dashboard. It seams to be reading most information but It will not give me the exhaust gas temperature. Not only that, I am still trying to set up some gauges with difficulty. Is there something else I should be doing or setting for this reading. Or is there a different Apple app that I should be using?
Thanks

I saw forscan mentioned in another thread. Check out the thread that says "extended PID" somewhere in the title. Somebody said forscan works well I think.

I have the dash command in my 2008 6.4L and I had to buy an extra $9.99 unlock to,get EGT. There were also other useful items in that unlock like engine oil temp and a few others I can't think of off top of my head.

As for gauge setup I spent better part of 2 hours one night getting all gauges setup, colors, warning, ECt.... And I haven't found a quick way yet of doing it. Once I got it setup I really like it.

I have already bought the extended pid's for ford through dash command. I still can't get it to read . I also tried the FOREscan app. Still no readings on that app either. I'm stumped. Lol

I've had little success with Dash Command. A few of the PIDs work, but most do not. Forscan works much better, but seems very inflexible. I haven't found a way to modify or add PIDs, and I can't find a way to set up screens, etc, without having it connected to the truck and the engine running.

If we are talking about the Forscan App, I emailed the developer last week.

He is going to:

A) Fix the EGT temperatures in the next release. Today, EGT11 EGT12 EGT13 EGT14 are all showing the EGT11 value

B) Inferred Soot Level: Will expand that from a 1 field to a 1.x field (Normal range is 1 to 5 with regens normally starting on the 2015 around the 4.2 grams/liter level

It is also correct you cannot add new PIDS, nor modify existing PIDS in Forscan

Thanks for the info Harrell. As you get the app working like you want it please keep us informed. I appreciate the info. Those edge insight displays are way overpriced.

Great news Guys,
The powers that be at Palmer Performance, (Dash command developers) have told me that they have a new version of Dash command in the review process with Apple for the IOS software. This new version contains many updated PID's for the 6.7. If you have already purchased the current version this will be nothing more than an ios update to the app. I was told that the new version will be able to read all EGT sensors + much more. If you like you can go to their website and check out my post on the dash command forum under "Dash command wont read exhaust gas temps"

Which year model truck do you have?

As of now the 2015 PIDS are read, but EGT11 12 13 14 all read the same as EGT11.

If I pay the $120 for the one Bluetooth OBD2 adapter compatible with iOS devices, can anyone tell me if I can utilize that while still using Sync for calls and Bluetooth audio like I do now?

PS iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.1.3 (latest)

Before I spent that kind of money I'd add to it and pony up for an Edge Insight, or something like it.

Would you like to expound on that? Some sort of info would be appreciated. Just making a generic flat statement isn't as helpful as saying why you'd do so.
