I would acquire a TPMS for your trailer and Truck.
I use the TST507RV 8 sensor flow through TPMS on my EX and TT, have been using it for just over a year now and so far I'm very happy. It's interesting to see how the sunny side tires will run hotter than the shaded side and how quickly the heat builds up from a cold start.

The web says:
TST507 is NOT a flow through
TST509 IS flow through
I've wanted to get one of these for monitoring on long drives. Glad to know you like it..

I bought my set (with 8 sensors) and another one for my buddy's Class A RV (6 sensors) and friends of ours bought a set for their Class A (8 sensors) all of them were ordered as 507s with the optional Flow Through sensors chosen. This is where we all got them from. TST 507RV 6 Sensor Tire Monitor System Here they do offer the Flow Through ones as an option to the 507.
My buddy just installed his before our Memorial Day Weekend trip and the other couple has been running theirs for about a year. I checked my notes and I put my set in service Nov '13. So far everyone here is very happy with the units and sensors, I think there may have been one faulty sensor in the other 8 sensor set that was returned and quickly swapped for a new one without issue.
The sensors are very light, I had metal heavy duty valve stems installed on my EX's rims when I upgraded to the 35" tires but the TT still has the stock rubber stems in it's aluminum rims. I do check for unusual wear on the TT's stems frequently and they have been fine. I plan to upgrade the TT's rims and tires to 16" and LT tires (from the 15" STs) over this coming Winter so I haven't upgraded those stems to metal ones.
I found these pics hiding in my computer, they are all I have for now, I'll try to remember to snap a few new ones of the parts installed on the EX and TT.
It's a nice system that allows for user programmable High and Low pressure and High temperature audible and visual alarms. The alarm set points are programmed individually to each sensor so it's a good match for say 80 PSI tires on the tow vehicle and only 65 PSI tires on the trailer.
I'm in Las Vegas right now. It's WSOP (World Series of Poker) time and I've been playing a ton of poker while I'm here. I haven't really gone all that far yet. I've been to Salt Lake City, Sand Diego, and Las Vegas.
In a week or so I'm heading to the east coast. Both my parents' health is declining and I need to spend some time there making sure they're OK. I'm the only one of my siblings in a position to stay near them for any kind of time, and I'm likely the only that my father would accept a lot of help from.
That TPMS system looks sweet. I am going to look into that for sure.
When I get to SC, I plan on pulling the turbo and doing a bunch of upgrades and fixes. I'm sure I have boost leaks and I want to make it tight and right. I'll be starting a thread on that over in the 7.3L forum when I'm ready.

Thanks for the update. I,for one,am really interested in hearing about your adventures on the open road. I'm a good ways away from being able to travel like that, but I do believe it would be fun. My wife wants to go to places all over the world, but I believe our country has so much to offer that there is no reason to leave. People spend tens of thousands to go see mountains in Switzerland, but haven't seen the North Cascades or the Olympics, it amazes me.

Steve, What you said above is the reason we have our EX and TT! So much to see here in the good ole U. S. of A., no matter where you go you can always find something interesting to see or do!
X2. I've traveled the country for 10s of thousands of miles and haven't scratched the surface. For Andy, the mountainous West is a "must see". I'm looking forward to seeing it now from my "new" as of Wednesday last week, 2003 X, 2WD.
I left Las Vegas on Friday, trying to make it as far as I could to my parents' place in South Carolina. I only got as far as Shawnee, OK. It's slower going than I thought it would be.
I find that if I keep the cruise set on 60, I get a little better than 11 mpg. I haven't checked it when I'm doing 70 or more, but I'm sure it's down into the single digits and it's not that important for me to get there all that quickly. Plus, my EGT's are considerably lower so I'm happy to putter along at 60 in the right lane, and I actually passed a handful of vehicles yesterday.
I also picked up a Tire Minder TPMS system and it works great. I do have one stubborn sensor that doesn't want to stay connected. I may have to return it.
