yeah that drives me nuts too. i mean i am for the 2nd as much as the next guy, maybe more, but like you said these fools do us no good. sure they're within and "exercising" their rights, but it's displays like these that fuel the fire for the antis. but i know i'm preaching to the choir here.
it's alot like these douchy diesel kids that buy a diesel for the sole purpose of putting a grossly-overfueled tune on it to run around "rolling coal"... especially on Prius owners. yeah, you "showed them!" again, fueling the fire..
^^^ mostly what he said. The big thing that irritates me about these gun guys is them buying all this camo and surplus from the stores and pretending they served or are some sort of soldier.
But I'll have to respect all those clowns once I join.
You will not have to respect anyone. Respect them as people; but laugh your *** off at their judgment/actions. Then be a little ashamed for them. They lack the humility to feel ashamed themselves.

Judgment/actions, lets go after that, although I don't agree with their methods, damn straight I respect them. They are not cowering behind a keyboard bitching, they are out standing up for what they believe in, I personally think that it might just go a bit better if they were wearing a suit, but so be it. They are taking a stand. I normally make my stand by calling my reps, or even showing up at some local event they may be at. This group goes the extra step. If we choose to pick which gun owners we support, who is going to be there to support us when it is out turn?
"Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."
I respect those who stand up for our gun rights. I'll have to post the 13 tips from concealed weapons trainers.
Best of luck, don't get board, it will be a wild ride, but enjoy it. 13 tips from a concealed carry instructor? Yes, please post. Should be a fun read.
Shooting Advice
Some words to the wise. Shooting Advice from various Concealed Carry Instructors. If you own a gun, you will appreciate this. If not, you should get one and learn how to use it:
A: Guns have only two enemies: rust and politicians.
B: Its always better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
C: Cops carry guns to protect themselves, not you.
D: Never let someone or something that threatens you get inside arms length.
E: Never say "I've got a gun." If you need to use deadly force, the first sound they hear should be the safety clicking off. (I prefer the sound of a slug being chambered when you **** a shotgun)
F: The average response time of a 911 call is 23 minutes, the response time of a .357 is 1400 feet per second.
G: The most important rule in a gunfight is: Always win - cheat if necessary.
H: Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets . . . You may get killed with your own gun, but he'll have to beat you to death with it, cause it'll be empty.
If you're in a gun fight:
1. If you're not shooting, you should be loading.
2. If you're not loading, you should be moving,
3. If you're not moving', you're dead.
J: In a life and death situation, do something . . . It may be wrong, but do something!
K: If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you have a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about? (I call it being prepared)
L: You can say 'stop' or 'alto' or any other word, but a large bore muzzle pointed at someone's head is pretty much a universal language. AMEN!
M: You cannot save the planet, but you may be able to save yourself and your family.
Might I suggest the reading of the last rule again
That's why I say the lie is. An opposition with a knife is supposed to be able to cover 25 feet before the average person can draw their gun from a holster.
Excerpt from an email I sent to a news outlet this afternoon:
"This kid who shot nine people in that SC church had a couple goals from what I can put together. One of which was to be famous. And the media provides that avenue for him and others by putting the killers' names and pictures on the lead story and front pages for weeks or even months, while relatively ignoring the victims' stories. I know, this sells papers and web site hits and generates revenue. I get it.
But imagine what would happen if all the media sources refused to say the killers' names or show their pictures? Instead, the media focused on the victims with the same fervor? Glorify the victims, not the perpetrators. Would this not serve to eliminate the enticement of fame or infamy? Would this not dissuade certain 'hate' crimes due to the overwhelming attention the media would surely give to the prospective victim, while basically leaving the perpetrator in relative obscurity to be quickly forgotten?
Everyone knows or can quickly find the names of the 19 hijackers, the Columbine shooters, and the DC snipers. Why is history not documenting the victims with equal or greater emphasis? Is it because the media couldn't or wouldn't sell it?
I'd like to call the media as a whole, and for that matter our entire society, to stop inadvertently elevating these criminals to infamy status. Leave them behind for history to forget."
I honestly don't expect a response, but if I get one I will share it with you all...
