On Craigslist I found a guy with 2nd row seats out of 2014 Ford Explorer cop SUVs. He's selling them for 50 bucks a piece. As long as the width is correct I don't see why I couldn't buy two sets and use one set for a front row seat considering both seats sit at the same height on the floor of the cab.. Anyone know the width of the interior of the cab? I'm stuck in class and I'm suppose to meet him after and don't have time to run out to my truck to measure myself. What Yall think? It might seem like a stretch but for 50 bucks a piece for a set of new leather seats if it worked it'd definitely be worth it. I like the bench look and how they aren't bulky. Not as comfortable but I think I can deal

Yes, I used a chevy hydro boost that I bought at a swap meet. Some slight adjusting for the mounting, shortened the rod on the booster and hoses. If I remember the cost was around $100.

You're both lucky to be getting a start on this at such a young age and to have that big shop outfitted the way it is.

Why go through all that work and use a 2wd steering box?

Yes, do the Hydroboost, you will not regret it. I used the 88-97 F-Superduty unit in my 78 CCSB, it's covered in my build thread. Other people have used the Dodge unit but it is LONNGGGG.

okay i will definitely look into it now. So we have a place here in portland called Tonys ford truck parts and Tony said that you want use a 2wd steering box out of 78-79 ford, which i already had, with a 79 4wd pitman arm. i honestly don't know the reason for using the 2wd box but it didn't give me any problem and actually steered really good for an old truck. before i had the 79 4x4 pitman arm my only problem is i had tight steering one way and no turn radius the other way. the uy before just didn't do the steering right

Prepping the fenders for paint. Harbor freight has a truck bed liner that is about 5 bucks a can and I'm Doug the bottom of the inner fender and the inside of the out fender in the stuff. I used it on my headache rack and it's tough as hell.
